Sven Soeren Beyer awarded with Opus Award, new show dates in Norway announced.
Sven Soeren Beyer has been awarded with the German Stage Award "Opus 2013" for the 3D audio opera "Neither". The opera staged by Berlin based artist network phase7 uses IOSONO 3D sound and innovative lighting technology to create a unique sound and visual experience.
Beyer is honored with the Opus for Technical Realisation. The jury statement notes that "the combination of innovative light and sound technology used in this opera production set new standards" and states that "the sound itself becomes a spatial actor" within the opera.
The German Stage Award honors new and outstanding ways of using technologies creatively. The jury consists of experts from the industry, trade associations and Messe Frankfurt, as well as journalists from the leading trade publications. The Opus award will be presented during Prolight + Sound trade show in Frankfurt, Germany on April 10, 2013.
