IOSONO GmbH is the licensing, marketing, distribution and service company for all IOSONO products, providing complete system solutions. In operation since the beginning of 2005, the company has the exclusive license for the worldwide distribution of IOSONO hardware and software products.

IOSONO GmbH is a spin-off from Germany’s renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology (IDMT). The company developing a network of strategic partnerships. The first subsidiary is the wholly owned U.S. based IOSONO, Inc. founded in May 2005.

Based in Erfurt Germany, the company’s strategic partner IDMT offers IOSONO continued access to the technical expertise and support of some of the world’s foremost scientists, inventors and programmers working in digital audio today. A close working relationship exists with the R&D team operating under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Brandenburg.

IOSONO GmbH operates globally from its two locations in Germany and Los Angeles. The company is staffed with an international team of 15 employees and further supported through a network of local distributors and installers. Recent sales of IOSONO systems include destinations like Qatar, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, Germany and the United States.

IOSONO GmbH is privately held. The current shareholder structure is composed of Management, Employees and Investors.
