New IOSONO® Spatial Audio Workstation Plug-inexclusively for Nuendo 4

IOSONO GmbH and Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology present their newest audio production tool at the 124th AES Convention in Amsterdam. IOSONO GmbH and Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT show their brand-new development - the next generation of IOSONO® Spatial Audio Workstation (SAW). The object-oriented surround panning and mixing plug-in exclusively for Steinberg's Nuendo 4 will be presented at the Fraunhofer booth 2217, and in special product shows on Monday, May 19th (12 a.m. and 4 p.m.) at the Steinberg booth 1910.

The joint development is a powerful object-oriented positioning and automation plug-in that allows the user to discretely place and move sound objects throughout the listeners' space.

The plug-in is designed for the smooth integration into Nuendo 4, Steinberg's advanced audio and post production system. It provides the mixing crew at the dub stage with a proper tool to create content for IOSONO® enhanced environments.

Within the SAW plug-in, dedicated Nuendo tracks and audio events appear as selectable sound objects on the SAW stage.

The mixer can assign a discrete position for each sound object for its x and y coordinates. The sound objects can also be automated over time. The user has full control over the audio objects and the motion lines. Moreover the plug-in offers a wide range of functions for audio objects and motion lines, e.g. move, rotate, scale or group.

The seamless integration of the SAW plug-in for Nuendo 4 into any audio/media production workflow makes it a proper tool for audio post production, digital cinema sound, 3D audio (e.g. complementing 3D picture) and media production.

Experience the new SAW plug-in and visit us at the Fraunhofer booth 2217 or on Monday at the Steinberg booth 1910 an exclusive product presentation.
